ACE offers certified volunteer hours from SHS and is a Certifying Organization recognized by AmeriCorps, so our members are eligible for a Presidential Volunteer Service Award. ACE will pay the fees to receive your award and can also sign off ANY community service from outside organizations you have done (regardless of its relation to English or lack thereof) as long as you provide proof and have at least 20 volunteer hours with ACE.

At the end of each session with your student, make sure to submit your hours in this Form. The submission of your hours will Automatically go into this Spreadsheet where you can view your hours and eligibility for PVSA. Your hours include the meeting itself and how long it took you to prepare material (if any).
Towards the end of each school year in May, you will fill out this Letter of Certification (outdated) to officialize your volunteer hours. If you need to meet a deadline, you can send the letter earlier. You will send it to Willis first for him to confirm the hours and sign, and then he will send it to Ms. Tseng, our club supervisor, to sign.
