Hi there! I'm Willis, a senior at Saratoga High and super excited to be serving my second year as ACE President. I’ve been tutoring a middle school student in Taiwan for the past four years — every week, we work on his English homework and read books together. As President, I help plan events, connect with schools abroad, sign off volunteer hours, and just try to keep everything running smoothly. Hi! My name is Navya Chawla, a senior at Saratoga High and ACE's Vice President this year. I've been tutoring since my freshman year. During sessions, I usually go over my student's homework and help them with that. Then, I go over some of ACE's videos on the Youtube channel, and to make things a little more interesting, pick a random song on Spotify to analyze the lyrics. Hi my name is Zoe. I am a senior and the secretary for ACE this year. I was helped by the ACE in my freshman year. Ace inspired me to help more people learn English. Hi! I am Sid Chiu. I am a sophomore. I remember when I was in elementary school, two students from a middle school held weekly online Zoom meetings for me and a group of my classmates. They created their own slides and lessons. ACE is similar to what they were doing. I have been a student and understand how to teach English to non-native speakers can be helpful, which is the reason that I joined ACE last year. Hello, my name is Maxime Sobrier. I am a Junior and the Outreach Officer for ACE. I have tutored two students from China English through ACE. I like to focus on teaching new vocabulary words that align with the fields of interest of the student. Additionally, I find online resources to help teach grammar and writing.
